The UConn women’s basketball team is slated to make their 14th consecutive Final Four appearance this Friday when the team faces off against Stanford University. While Paige Bueckers and company will take care of the work on the court in Minneapolis’ Target Center, former UConn stars will take the airwaves of ESPN to cover the semifinal games.
On Wednesday, ESPN announced that Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi will host a show part of the MegaCast presentation on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN+ for the semifinals and championship game. Called “The Bird & Taurasi Show Presented by AT&T 5G,” the show will feature the duo broadcasting live from a set at the arena as they provide “their unique perspective and friendly banter,” according to a press release. Bird and Taurasi’s show will also have guest appearances from other sports and pop culture figures. Bird and Taurasi's program will be part of the "most expansive production in ESPN history for the NCAA Women’s Final Four," according to the release.
