Wave by the Numbers: Title games, playoff wins, and Wickham warriors

The postseason is now in full swing, and this week’s Wave by the Numbers takes a look at some of the impressive stats for Darien’s fall sports teams. The field hockey team, which will play for the FCIAC crown on Thursday, is batting leadoff, with the girls soccer and volleyball teams also in the midst of great seasons. We cap off the week with a look at the cross country teams and two runners who are racing into the State Open. 3-2 Score of the Darien Blue Wave’s victory over the Greenwich Cardinals in the FCIAC field hockey semifinals Monday at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk. Darien has been knocked out by Greenwich in the quarterfinals the past two seasons, but gained a measure of revenge this year.
