The Ridgefield High baseball, girls lacrosse and boys tennis teams will either begin or continue state tournament play today. Seeded third, the RHS baseball team starts the Class LL tournament by hosting 30th-seed Hartford Public in a first-round game at 3:30 at Ciuccoli Field (old high school). The winner plays either 14th-seed Hamden or 19th-seed Conard in a second-round game tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3:30 at the home of the higher-ranked team. To view a complete Class LL bracket click here. At Tiger Hollow, the sixth-seeded RHS girls lacrosse team hosts 11th-seed Conard in a Class L first-round game at 5 p.m. The winner faces either third-seed Greenwich or 14th-seed Brien McMahon in the quarterfinals on Thursday (May 31) at 5 p.m. at the home of the higher-ranked team. The RHS boys tennis team resumes play in the Class LL state tournament today with third-round and quarterfinal matches at Hall High School in West Hartford. Singles players Luke Queiroz and Brian Song have advanced to the third round for the Tigers, as have the doubles teams of Tanner Daubenspeck and Noah Butler, Tadd Long and Seth Prusko, and Joseph Campos and Emmett O'Malley.
