The Ridgefield High boys and girls hockey and wrestling teams all posted victories on Wednesday.

At Terry Conners Rink in Stamford, the RHS/Danbury girls hockey team defeated the Stamford/Westhill/Staples/Trinity Catholic combined squad, 3-0.

Ridgefield goalie Kendal Mountain stopped 17 shots for the shutout.

The Tigers, who evened their record at 5-5-1, took the lead on Chiara Signorelli's unassisted goal with 7:11 left in the second period.

Sarah Gillis made it 2-0 on an assist from Gretchen Peters less than three minutes into the third period. Sandi Turner then added the final goal with 3:13 to play off assists from Nicole Potel and Bridget Galloway.

The game featured 11 penalties, six for Ridgefield and five for Stamford.

In Bridgeport, the Ridgefield boys hockey team routed the Fairfield Warde/Ludlowe combined squad, 8-1, at the Wonderland of Ice.

Ahead just 1-0 at the end of the first period, the Tigers erupted for five second-period goals to take a 6-1 lead into the final 15 minutes.

Kees van Wees had a hat trick for Ridgefield, which raised its record to 8-2 at the midpoint of the regular season.

Nick Cullinan added two goals, while Matt Walker, Will Forrest and Del Irving scored one goal apiece for the Tigers.

Cullinan and Liam Galloway each contributed three assists. Irving and Walker each added two assists, and Brady McSpedon and Forrest had one assist apiece.

Sean Gordon got the win in goal for the Tigers, who did not take any penalties during the game.

At RHS, the Ridgefield wrestling team edged Greenwich, 40-33.

The Tigers got pins from Spencer Carlson (in 1:36) at 106 pounds, Ben Smart (in 1:25) at 120 pounds, Connor Brown (in 1:58) at 145 pounds, Lazar Agoev (in 1:52) at 152 pounds, Simon Preston (in 1:59) at 160 pounds, and Sam Klotz (in 45 seconds) at 220 pounds.

Peter Murray added a 13-0 major decision for Ridgefield at 138 pounds
