Following a two-week break, the Ridgefield High boys and girls ski teams returned for a pair of sweeps last Thursday at Mount Southington.

The RHS boys beat four opponents, recording a team time of 285.92 seconds to top Darien (302.85), Brunswick (304.53), Amity (339.33), and Farmington (disqualified).

Meanwhile, the RHS girls had a time of 314.65 seconds to defeat their three head-to-head opponents: Darien (319.47). Lauralton Hall (328.51) and Amity (340.38).

En route to its sweep, the Ridgefield boys team placed its six scoring skiers in the top-24 overall (out of a field of 103 competitors).

Jakob Robinson finished fourth overall in a two-run combined time of 45.01 seconds to lead the Tigers.

Also placing in the top 20 were Luke Faillaci (12th, 47.62), Will Coffin (17th, 47.96) and Niels van Beek (19th, 48.10).

Joseph Pastore (22nd, 48.56) and Alex O'Reilly (tie for 24th, 48.67) also contributed to Ridgefield's team time.

The Ridgefield girls got a third-place overall finish from Riley Peters in a combined time of 48.27 seconds.

Adding top-15 finishes were Lauren Tsai (10th, 49.58) and Jacqueline Nadel (12th, 50.67).

Also contributing to Ridgefield's team time were Ellie Cross (33rd, 54.40), Echo Nielsen (35th, 54.53) and Alexandra Schibli (47th, 57.20).
