A dominant second half led the Ridgefield High boys lacrosse team to a 15-7 victory over Fairfield Warde in an FCIAC quarterfinal game Saturday morning at Tiger Hollow.

Ridgefield, the second seed, will now play third-seed New Canaan in the semifinals on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk.

The Tigers outscored seventh-seed Warde, 11-3, in the second half to break open a game that was tied 4-4 through two quarters.

Ray Dearth had four goals and two assists for Ridgefield, which improved its record to 15-2. John Mathes and Ryan Colsey each added three goals and two assists, and Weston Carpenter contributed two goals and two assists.

Quinn Caviola (two goals), Josiah DeGrasse (goal, assist), and Luke Winkler (assist) also got on the scoresheet for the Tigers.

Kees van Wees (six) and Jake Lynne (five) combined to scoop up 11 groundballs for Ridgefield, while goalies Dan Parson (14) and George Rioseco (one) teamed for 15 saves.
