Holding both of its opponents to four goals, the Ridgefield High boys lacrosse team won two games in three days.

Playing at home, the Tigers defeated Duxbury (Mass.) by a score of 12-4 last Thursday. Ridgefield followed that victory with a 21-4 rout of Stamford on Saturday at Tiger Hollow.

The wins pushed Ridgefield's record to 6-1 heading into Tuesday night's game against Staples (see theridgefieldpress.com).

Against Duxbury, the Tigers led 4-1 at the end of the first quarter and 10-2 at halftime.

Ridgefield got two goals and six assists from John Mathes and four goals and two assists from Ray Dearth.

Ryan Colsey added three goals and an assist, and Noah Gels had two goals.

James Isaacson contributed one goal, while Weston Carpenter picked up two assists.

Ridgefield goalie Dan Parson finished with eight saves.

The Tigers got scoring from 10 players in their blowout win over Stamford.

Gels and Colsey each had four goals and an assist for Ridgefield.

Owen Gaydos added three goals, and Quinn Caviola, Luke Winkler and Mathes had two goals apiece.

Josiah DeGrasse, Dearth, Carpenter, and Isaacson all contributed one goal to round out the scoring.

Isaacson also provided a team-high three assists. DeGrasse had two assists, and Gels, Mathes, Dearth, and Colsey added one assist apiece.

Eliot Hynes (12), Kees van Wees (five) and Isaacson (five) combined for 22 ground balls, while Parson (three) and Matthew Shepard (one) teamed to make four saves.
