The Ridgefield High boys and girls cross country teams continued their postseasons with top-10 finishes at the Class LL state championships on Saturday at Wickham Park in Manchester.

Led by Tess Pisanelli and Gabriella Viggiano, the Ridgefield girls were third in an ultra-competitive 20-team field. The Tigers had 120 points to edge fourth-place Greenwich (124 points). Danbury won the Class LL title with 56 points, followed by runner-up Glastonbury (97 points).

Pisanelli was fourth overall in a time of 19 minutes, 16 seconds for the 3.1-mile race. Right behind her was Viggiano, who was fifth overall in 19:17.

Also contributing to Ridgefield's team score were Katherine Langis (33rd, 20:46), Rory McGrath (37th, 20:54), and Elizabeth DeMassa (41st, 21:03).

The Ridgefield boys team finished ninth with 217 points, four fewer than 10th-place Amity (221).

Chip Coffin was the Tigers' top finisher, placing 23rd overall in a time of 16:40.

Charles Namiot (37th, 17:04), Ethan MacKenzie (39th, 17:06), Chris Lauretani (55th, 17:23), and Ryan Crist (63rd, 17:28) also contributed to Ridgefield's team score.

Notes: Staples won the Class LL boys team title with 78 points. Hall was second (87 points) and Danbury (144) third.

Miller Anderson of Hall was the top individual finisher in the boys' race with a time of 15:57.

Greenwich's Mari Noble won the girls' individual title in a time of 18:57.
