Ridgefield boys lax routs Warde, 19-3
Getting points from 10 players, the Ridgefield High boys lacrosse team obliterated Fairfield Warde, 19-3, on Saturday in Fairfield.
The Tigers improved their record to 2-0 going into home games against traditional powers Yorktown (N.Y.) and Wilton this week.
Reid Kagan and James Isaacson each scored four goals for Ridgefield in the win over Warde. Noah Gels and Weston Carpenter added three goals apiece, and Dawson Muller had two goals.
Noah Isaacson, Chris D'Entrone, and Jack Englert rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece.
Muller finished with a team-high four assists for the Tigers, who led 14-0 at halftime.
Ray Dearth and Kagan each had two assists, while Luke Gaydos, James Isaacson and Carpenter added one assist apiece.
Dan Parson played the first half in goal for Ridgefield and made one save to keep Warde scoreless. Malcolm McGrath took over in the second half and also stopped one shot.
Notes: Ridgefield hosts Yorktown (N.Y.) tomorrow (April 17) and Wilton on Thursday (April 19). Both games begin at 6 p.m. at Tiger Hollow.
