McNamara leads Ridgefield past John Jay

After losing its first conference game of the season on Tuesday, the Ridgefield High boys basketball team got a non-conference victory Friday evening.

Behind 23 points and 11 rebounds from senior forward Brenden McNamara, the Tigers defeated host John Jay, 66-48, in Cross River, N.Y.

With the triumph, Ridgefield is now 11-3 overall this season.

Alex Price added 12 points for the Tigers, who received scoring from eight players.

James St. Pierre finished with seven points, while Luke McGarrity, Chris Knachel, and Matt Misurelli contributed six points apiece.

Matthew DeLuca added three points and Jackson Mitchell had two points for Ridgefield.

Mitchell (nine) and Misurelli (seven) combined for 16 rebounds, and McGarrity, Knachel, and Misurelli had three assists apiece.
