RIDGEFIELD — Police are investigating a rash of motor vehicle thefts that occurred over the weekend.

Four vehicles were reported stolen from residences on Island Hill Avenue, Hunter Lane, Jefferson Drive and Prospect Street during the early morning hours of Sunday.

Police said the targeted vehicles had been left unlocked with keys left inside.

“While most of the past stolen vehicles have been recovered after a short time, we continue to urge all residents to be diligent with securing your vehicles and removing your personal effects overnight,” Capt. Shawn Platt said.
