RIDGEFIELD — Police are investigating a burglary at a North Street home they said took place sometime over the last four days.

“Forced entry was made in to the home by breaking a window and unlocking the door,” Capt. Shawn Platt said Wednesday.

Once they were in the home, the “individuals removed a safe containing jewelry and personal documents,” he said.

Police believe the theft occurred sometime Monday or Tuesday.

Ridgefield detectives are investigating the robbery, and ask anyone with information about the break-in to call Detective Papstein at 203-431-2794 or the department’s tip line at 203-431-2345.
