Vincent P. Macchiarulo, 45, of Ridgefield, died on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Danbury Hospital. Vincent was born in Norwalk, September 18, 1967, a son of Angela (Gravante) Macchiarulo of Ridgefield and the late Vincent Macchiarulo. He attended Norwalk schools, graduated from Norwalk High School and was employed by Stew Leonard\u2019s of Norwalk in their bakery department. Vincent was bigger than life itself.\u00a0 He loved to be around family and friends.\u00a0 He taught people acceptance, tolerance and love.\u00a0 He touched the lives of everybody he met with his words of wisdom, wit and many hugs and smiles. He loved any chance for a family gathering or party.\u00a0 He was always the dance of the party and gave the best speeches from the heart.\u00a0 Family meant everything to him, and he brought out the best in everyone. An avid wrestling fan, Vinny also enjoyed watching the old time television programs. A resident of Ridgefield for the past ten years, coming from Norwalk, he attended St. Mary\u2019s Church in Ridgefield. In addition to his mother, Vinny is survived by a sister, Marisa Di Meglio and her husband, Luigi and their children, Anthony, Michael, and Gabriella, all of Ridgefield; a brother, Paul Macchiarulo of Ridgefield and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10:15 AM at St. Mary\u2019s Church in Ridgefield. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. The family will receive friends at the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield, on Wednesday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM, and Thursday from 5 PM to 8 PM.
