Richard \u201cRick\u201d Thomas Hulbert, 59, of Norwalk, died on June 29, 2018 at Danbury Hospital. Born in Oakland, CA, the son of Richard and the late Marguerite \u201cPeggy\u201d Molloy Hulbert, he worked as a Union Carpenter, Local # 279. Rick was raised in the Bronx, attending St. Margaret of Cortona School in Riverdale and All Hallows High School. He was a drummer and founded the band \u201cCoastal Groove\u201d and enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a food aficionado, hockey and football fan and had an affinity for vintage and nostalgic items. Rick is survived by two sons, Richard Francis Hulbert of Fairview, NC, and Nicholas Eric Hulbert; their mother Maria (Calogero) Hulbert and her family; nieces and nephews, Catherine, Anthony Jr., Gabby, Michael, Danielle and Matthew; mother-in-law Caterina Calogero; as\u00a0well as Rick\u2019s partner and companion, Rosa Buitron. His family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5, from 5-9 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, at 10 AM at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd, Norwalk.
