Maureen A. Zandri, 84, of Southbury, formerly of Ridgefield and Danbury, wife of Joseph A. Zandri, died on Monday evening, November 12, 2018 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. Mrs. Zandri was born in Danbury, July 18, 1934, a daughter of John and Margaret (O\u2019Regan) McCrystal. Raised in Ridgefield and later New York City, attending New York schools, \u00a0she returned to Ridgefield with her family and completed her junior and senior high school years at Ridgefield High School. Married in 1953, Mrs. Zandri was a former teller with the former First National Bank of Ridgefield and in later years, an administrative assistant at Zandri Construction Company of Ridgefield. Prior to moving to Southbury, Connecticut in 2017 from DeBary, Florida, she was a former resident of Ridgefield, Danbury and a summer resident of Clinton, CT. Mrs. Zandri was a member of St. Mary Church of Ridgefield. In addition to her husband of sixty-five years, Mrs. Zandri is survived by a daughter, Colleen Furtado and her husband Serafim of Southbury; a son, Joseph Zandri of Ridgefield; four grandchildren, Michael Furtado, Caitlin Furtado, Thomas \u201cTJ\u201d Zandri and Stephanie Perry as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Zandri was predeceased by a brother, John McCrystal and by a sister, Margaret Gillotte. The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Interment will take place on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
