Anthony J. Octavio, 78, of Ridgefield, husband of Patricia (Peters) Octavio, died on Sunday, January 28th, 2018 at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. Mr. Octavio was born in Danbury, CT on March 18th, 1939, a son of the late Adelina (Salvatore) Octavio and Anthony J. Octavio. He attended St. Joseph\u2019s Grammar School, Danbury High School, received his B.A. at Holy Cross College and his MBA at the University of Connecticut. He served in the Marine Corps Reserves. He worked for Dorr Oliver Inc. of Milford, CT for 42 years before ending his career as their Chief Financial Officer. He was a resident of Ridgefield for the past 45 years. He was also a member of St Mary\u2019s Parish where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, taught religious education, and helped to establish their Fall Festival. He was the Treasurer of Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield for over 12 years. In addition he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Senior Golf League in Ridgefield for many years. In addition to his wife Pat, of Ridgefield, he is survived by his daughter Kate Octavio Blond, his grandchildren Maggie, Nora and Grady, his brother Bob Octavio of Bedford, PA and his nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on February 17, 2018 at 10:15 a.m., at St Mary\u2019s Church, 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will be private; there will be no calling hours.
