Ward E. Meehan III, entrepreneur
Ward E. Meehan III of Stamford, husband of Jennifer Rasmussen Meehan, died suddenly on May 24. He was 36 years old.
He was born in Greenwich on Feb. 25, 1980, son of Ward E. and Lorraine (Glinka) Meehan Jr. of Ridgefield.
He earned his undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University and his MBA from University of Connecticut.
He was an entrepreneur and enjoyed spending time outdoors, sports and time with his family and friends. He frequently visited Martha’s Vineyard, Park City Utah and Vermont.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughter Madison, his grandmother Gladys Glinka, a sister Melissa (Donnie) Stagnetta of Trumbull, a brother Jason (Olivia) of Fairfield, a niece Natalie and nephews Giovanni and Jack, his mother and father-in-law Michael and Helen Rasmussen of Ridgefield, brother-in-law Dane of Utah, his wife’s grandmother Muriel Rasmussen of Stamford, many aunts and uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Henry Glinka and Ward E. and Ann Meehan Sr.
Calling hours are from 4 to 8 on Friday, May 27, at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home in Greenwich, 31 Arch Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 10 at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, 4 Riverside Ave, Riverside.
