Vincent A. Paccadolmi, 90, World War II veteran, longtime golf pro

Vincent A. Paccadolmi, 90, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, formerly of Ridgefield, CT, died peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2013 in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

Mr. Paccadolmi was the husband of the late Nancy (Stewart) Paccadolmi and was a retired thirty-seven year golf pro of Waccabuc Country Club of Waccabuc, NY.

Vince was born in Ridgefield, September 15, 1922, a son of the late Filippo and Amalia (Bruni) Paccadolmi.

He attended Ridgefield schools, Ridgefield High School and graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Paccadolmi was also a member of the Marquette Council Knights of Columbus, Italian American Mutual Aid Society, and St. Mary Parish, all of Ridgefield.

He was also a member of the United States Golf Association and a lifetime member of the Professional Golfers Association.

The two things that were most important to Mr. Paccadolmi were his family and golf. He was happiest when spending time with his daughter Patty. One of the highlights of his year was when his granddaughters and daughter-in-law would visit. Together they would hit golf balls at Patriot's Point Golf Club.

He is survived by a daughter, Patty Paccadolmi of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a daughter in law, Paula Paccadolmi; two granddaughters, Alexandra and Christina; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Paccadolmi was predeceased by a son, Thomas; three sisters, Gelsina, Phyllis and Lillian, and by a brother, Argeo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 10:15 AM in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.

The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
