Ulderico Stefanelli, 84, stone mason, native of Italy, enjoyed bocce

Ulderico Stefanelli, 84, of Ridgefield, died at his home on Thursday evening, May 3, 2012.

Mr. Stefanelli was born in Monterado, Province of Marche, Italy, April 5, 1928, a son of the late Ottavio and Elisa (Batistoni) Stefanelli. He attended schools in Italy.

A resident of the United States since 1956, he first settled in Ridgefield and has resided there ever since.

Mr. Stefanelli was a retired self-employed stone mason and brick layer.

He was a member of the Italian American Mutual Aid Society of Ridgefield and of St. Mary Parish and enjoyed playing bocce and cards.

Mr. Stefanelli is survived by three sons, Sergio Stefanelli of Winchester, MA, Sandro Stefanelli and his wife, Jeannine, of Malvern, PA, and Daniel Stefanelli and his wife, Julie, of Medford, MA; and three grandchildren, Gianna, Dante and Jack.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 1:15 PM in St, Mary Church, Ridgefield with the Rev. Russell A. Augustine, Parochial Vicar, officiating.

Interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield at the direction of the family.

There will be no calling hours.
