Bryn attended Newport Technology College where he earned a degree in Chemistry, specializing in chromatography. After graduating, he began work at British Nylon Spinners as an assistant chemist developing nylon for general use.

Bryn and Pat Everson grew up as neighbors in Newport. They started dating in 1954 and were married in 1961.They were blessed with two sons, Guy and Craig.

Bryn joined Perkin-Elmer in 1965 and the family moved from Newport, Wales to Hazelmere, England. He quickly established himself as a prominent expert in the field of gas chromatography; publishing papers and delivering lectures. He was sent across the globe, supporting customers who needed assistance with Perkin-Elmer instruments. Bryn was a pioneer as China opened its doors to global commerce and also worked in Russia as they built refineries utilizing Perkin-Elmer equipment.

In 1977, Bryn was offered a position in the United States as an Applications Manager for a line of new Perkin-Elmer instruments. He bravely moved his young family to a new country where they settled in Ridgefield. Bryn and Pat have proudly called Ridgefield home ever since.

Bryn was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in the mid 1970s. The disease slowed his physical abilities which curtailed international work but his mind remained razor sharp, continuing as an exemplary manager until his retirement in 2000.

His wife, Pat, retired the same year and the two enjoyed years of Disney World family trips along with cruises to Bermuda, the Bahamas, Aruba and Alaska. Bryn enjoyed the benefits of Ridgefield’s Founders Hall as he attended classes and lectures about computers, photography and investing.

He was an active member of the Men’s Club of Ridgefield, where he established a Digital Photography group and taught classes on Photoshop.

Bryn was a huge supporter of the Ridgefield Chorale where Pat has been a longtime member. He also loved to watch the English Premier Soccer League on television each weekend as well as any tennis matches he could find.
