Helen Kremer, 87, a longtime Ridgefielder, worked for Shell

Helen M. Kremer passed away August 1, 2012.

Helen was born in Manhattan, NY August 30, 1924 to Philip and Sarah McHugh. She attended St. Simon Stock Elementary School in the Bronx and graduated from Walton High School in 1942.

After graduation she entered the workforce and began working for Shell Oil Company just as WWII ended. She met Lt. Thomas F. Kremer at Shell when he returned from the war. She had met the love of her life. Helen and Tom were married July 13, 1946.

Helen was a devoted and tireless spouse and mother, always putting the needs of her family first.

She leaves behind her children Margaret Belanger, Thomas Kremer Jr., Christine Walton, Robert Kremer, Joan Rohrscheib, Nancy Herrera, Marie Shields and Mark Kremer as well as thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two sisters Mary McHugh and Monica Hoolahan as well as many friends.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, five brothers and sisters of her seven siblings and her grandson, Patrick Kremer.

Visiting hours will be held at Kane Funeral Home in Ridgefield from 4-7 pm on Friday August 3, 2012. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Parish on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 9:30 a.m.
