Edward “Ted” Streeter, Jr., died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 92 years old at his home in Redding, CT. Ted was born on June 21, 1922 to Edward and Charlotte (Warren) Streeter in Great Neck, NY and was the second of 4 children. As the son of an author, Ted figured into the inspiration of many of Edward Streeter’s titles, including Father of the Bride.
A WWII veteran, Ted served in the 10th Mountain Division of the Armed Forces in Italy. He married Barbara Wood in 1953 in New York City. They lived in NYC until 1964 and then moved out to his beloved little house on the hill in Laurel Hollow, NY.
