Dr. Maryanne Dwyer, 67, Library of Congress supervisor

Maryanne Dwyer of Crystal River, Fla., a retired supervisor with the Library of Congress, died Sunday, July 29, at her Florida home. She was 67 years old and formerly lived on Sleepy Hollow Road.

Dr. Dwyer was born in New York City on March 13, 1945, daughter of John and Rosetta Gillen Dwyer. She attended New York schools and received her bachelor, master’s and doctorate degrees in library science.

She was a retired staff supervisor with the United States Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

A former member of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Ridgefield, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two brothers, John P. Dwyer, Jr. of Greenwich and Daniel A. Dwyer of Homosassa, Fla.

Friends may call on Friday, Aug. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street.

An Eastern Star Service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 7.

Interment will take place in the Cemetery of the Gate of Heaven, Hawthorne, NY on Saturday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m.
