Dolores J. Ambrose, 70, former Ridgefielder
Dolores J. Ambrose, 70 of Danbury, formerly of Ridgefield died on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Gerald J. Ambrose.
Mrs. Ambrose was born in New York, NY, March 14, 1942, daughter of John and Albina (Wojick) Dynan. Raised in the Bronx, she attended St. Raymond Elementary School and graduated from Cathedral High School-Manhattan.
For a period of time after graduation and prior to her marriage, Mrs. Ambrose was employed in the advertising field in New York City.
An area resident for the past forty years coming from Garnerville, NY, she resided for the past ten years in Danbury and thirty years in Ridgefield.
She was a member of the Lions Club of Ridgefield and enjoyed gardening and tag sales.
Mrs. Ambrose attended St. Mary Church of Ridgefield and St. Peter Church of Danbury.
She is survived by a daughter, Andrea Paltauf and her husband, Rob of Newtown, CT; a son, Geffrey Ambrose and his wife, Donna of No. Reading, MA; two brothers, Edward Gryzb and his wife, Donna of Holyoke, MA and John Dynan and his wife, Arlene of Yonkers, NY, seven grandchildren, Victoria, Katelyn, Jaclyn, Matthias, Markus, Mia and Marianna and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:15 AM in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield with Msgr. Laurence R. Bronkiewicz, Pastor officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
There will be no calling hours.
