Caroline Von Hograf, actor, worked for Acorn Press

Caroline A. Von Hograf of Ridgefield, died July 25. She was born March 14, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. to parents Eugene and Adelaide Von Hograf.

Early in her career Ms. Von Hograf worked for the New York Board of Education. For many years she acted and directed in the Circle Arts Theater in New York.

After Ms. Von Hograf married she moved to Ridgefield and worked for the Acorn Press, which later became Hersam Acorn Newspapers, from 1979 to 2000.

Ms. Von Hograf was predeceased by her parents and sister Ann Helen. She is survived by a niece and three nephews all of Maine: Catherine and Ronald Harriman; Timothy and Kim Mayo; Christopher Mayo; Eric and Lisa Mayo.

A remembrance of Ms. Von Hograf ’s life is planned on Monday, July 28 at 1:30 p.m. at Ridgefield Crossings, 640 Danbury Road, Ridgefield.
