Arlene L. Sidonio, 20-year resident

Arlene Louise (Millette) Sidonio of Dorchester, Mass., died on April 22. She was 86.

She was was born Dec. 31, 1929 in Milford, Mass., she lived nearly 20 years in Ridgefield raising her family. After moving to Massachusetts, she worked for the City of Boston School Department, retiring at the age of 77 after 20 years as an administrative assistant. She spent her life among family and traveled around the United States visiting them.

She was the daughter of the late Harry Alton Millette and Louisa DeLoia.

She was predeceased by daughters, Mary and Arlene Sidonio and Cheryl Anne Whalen, and grandson Joel Sidonio. She was predeceased by sisters Rita and Helena, and a brother Harry Jr. ‘Milo’.

She is survived by brothers William and Joseph and sisters Regina and Louise, and sons Robert F. Sidonio, John Sidonio Jr. (Amy), both of Alabama; daughters Sioux Sidoni of Alabama, Sandee Robinson of Virginia, Lynne Fish and Angela Mia ‘Joan’ Ying, both of Massachusetts; Anita Halsey (Sonny) and Marie Elena ‘Malena’ Carroll (Wayne), both of Maryland. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services were held at the John J. O’Connor & Son Funeral Home in Dorchester, Mass., and funeral mass took place in St. Ann’s Church, Neponset, Mass.
