Amy Wang Davis, 63, worked for RVNA; service on Thursday

Amy Wang Davis, 63 of Ridgefield, wife of the late Lawrence Davis died at the Danbury Hospital on Saturday, June 2, 2012.

She was born in Taiwan, China, September 13, 1948.

Amy was a happy smiling person who loved to dance and sing.  She always had a love of God and from her early days participated in Christian ministries. In Taiwan she was known to visit the sick, help the poor and visited those imprisoned.

One settled in Ridgefield, Amy decided not to pursue work in accounting and devoted herself to once again help others. She proceeded to get a license as a nurse’s assistant and began work with the Visiting Nurses Association of Ridgefield as a home care provider. She did that for many years until her marriage to Lawrence Davis. After that, on her own, she went out to “her patients”; anyone she knew who needed help. She did these at all hours and never accepted anything in return.

Amy leaves a family of which she was very proud and loved so dearly. She leaves a daughter, Sarah Wang and granddaughters, Angie, Margaret and Valerie. The family would like to thank the staff of the New Milford Hospital and Danbury Hospital Oncology Dept. for their loving care and concern over the years and the staff of Pope John Paul II Center for Health Care, Danbury.

Finally, a special thanks to the Pastoral Staff of the Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, Ridgefield and to her loving friends who prayed with and for her over the years and most especially Amy’s last days.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, 207 Main St., Ridgefield.
