Alfred Tulipani, 92, World War II veteran, lifelong Ridgefielder

Alfred A. Tulipani, 92, of Ridgefield, husband of Mary (Nigris) Tulipani, died on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Danbury Hospital.

Mr. Tulipani was born in Ridgefield, May 6, 1921, a son of Vincent and Evelyn (Branchini) Tulipani.  He attended local schools and graduated from Ridgefield High School.

A U.S. Army World War II veteran, Mr. Tulipani was a retired superintendent on several Ridgefield private estates.  He was a member of St. Mary Parish.

He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening

In addition to his wife of sixty-nine years, Mr. Tulipani is survived by four daughters, Cheryle Pribanic and her husband Doug, Dale Ligi, Holly White and Melissa Tulipani; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tulipani was predeceased by his son in law, Police Chief Richard Ligi, grandson, Richard Ligi, Jr., brothers, Aldo, John, Joseph and Albert and a sister, Ada Walker.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

There will be no calling hours.
