Letter: Repeat referendum questions deserve same answer as 2014 vote — 'No'

To the Editor:

Ridgefield is a beautiful town. One of the reasons is our town charter. This charter keeps the ultimate power with the citizens and voters.

In a 2014 charter referendum, 5,000 voters (60%) said “no” to the Board of Selectmen proposed change to make the treasurer and tax collector appointed positions. The reason is Ridgefielders want public officials held accountable to deliver results.

The Board of Selectmen is now asking this same question a second time.

Vote “no” on referendum lines 5 and 6.
