Letter: Cap the property tax

To the Editor:
The Ridgefield property tax needs to be capped at current rates.
Please note, huge revenue can be raised by tax deductible contributions and even “suggested” tuition, which other public school districts use.
If only 50% of Ridgefield’s population donate a dollar per day to a tax deductible fund, $4.5 million will be raised.
Five dollars a day gets you $22,500,000!
Property owners need to revolt against any and all future property taxes increases!
Look at your property taxes and imagine that they will double in 16 short years!
Try and sell a home with super high property taxes — good luck.
Now are you ready for a property tax revolt?
