Recreation Notes: Spring break fun
Recreation’s Spring Break Tennis/Arts & Crafts/Fun Games Camp for children ages 3 to 12 runs Monday through Friday, April 9 to 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Justine Butler Tennis Courts located behind Yanity gym. It includes tennis, kickball, basketball, soccer, and more. Camp is held rain or shine. It will be held inside Yanity gym when necessary. Extended hours are available upon request.
It’s time for spring tennis. Classes for adults include beginner, intermediate/doubles strategy, and ladies doubles instructional scramble. Classes for children ages 3 to 15 include beginner and intermediate levels.
Calling all theatrical children. The Drama/Friday Night Musical Theater Club will be performing The Little Mermaid. This program, led by Robby Hedge, is available to children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Classes meet on Fridays at the recreation center from April 20 to June 1. This program is a great way to build self-confidence. Children in kindergarten through second grade meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Children in third through eighth grade meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and are asked to bring dinner with them to class.
