Recreation Notes: Fencing and other winter fun
Ridgefield Parks & Recreation is now offering fencing at new lower rates. Students ages 4 to adult will use state-of-the-art equipment and have access to world-class, proven coaching by the professionals from Candlewood Fencing. Throughout the program, students will improve their coordination, speed, agility, and self-esteem. Fencing is not only fun and rewarding but it also helps college-bound students gain admission to prestigious universities throughout the country as well as develop athletic abilities. Classes meet on Saturday mornings at the recreation center. Try your first class for free. You must call 203-431-2755 in advance to reserve your spot.
Sign up today for Jonathan Chase’s Winter Fun Camp. Children ages 6 to 14 will play tennis games, kickball, board games, soccer, bowling, scooters, basketball, and much more. This is a non-competitive camp where your children pick their own activities. We will provide snacks and drinks for your children and pizza sometimes, too. Winter Camp will run from Jan. 23 to March 13 and meet on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. inside Scotland Elementary School’s gym.
