The Urban Dictionary defines Minnie as a very cute lady who can always make your heart melt with her smile.

Meet ROAR’s Minnie, a 2-year-old tricolor shepherd mix who is not only cute (just look at that face) but about as sweet as can be.

When Minnie arrived at our shelter in late December from Mississippi, “the staff quickly realized she had some anxiety issues when it came to loud noises, cars, etc. Due to these fears we struggled to even get her to go outside,” said Lexie Platz, kennel manager.

Minnie soon bonded with all the staff. Within a few weeks she found going outside to play in the yard, especially to fetch a tennis ball, to be her favorite activity. She seems to never get tired of playing fetch. She quickly and easily befriends other dogs of all shapes and sizes and loves to have play dates. Minnie would do best in a home with another dog.

“She has come a long way in a short amount of time — it’s hard to believe she is the same dog that arrived at ROAR just over a month ago,” said Lexie.

Minnie is a lovable lap dog and would make a wonderful addition to any home. She is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $300.

The ROAR Donofrio Family Animal Shelter is located at 45 South Street, with adoption hours Thursday through Monday. Go to roar-ridgefield.org to learn more about Minnie and all the wonderful dogs and cats available at ROAR.
