ROARings: A Rocky start
Meet Rocky, a loveable (just look at that sweet face), shy and sensitive 2-year-old flat-coated retriever mix who was found as a stray in Mississippi and luckily arrived at ROAR. Because he is so shy and needing to rebuild his trust of humans, Rocky went into foster care for a month.
His foster family says “Rocky is a big love and becoming more outgoing the longer he is with us. Once he is comfortable with you, he walks nicely on a leash. He loves to play with my dog and is so sweet with my cat. Rocky is gentle and wouldn’t hurt a fly, as time passes he will learn to trust again. Some of his favorite activities are watching the world go by in our bay window and cuddling in bed.”
Rocky would prefer a home with another dog to play with, a fenced-in yard, and no sudden noises or spontaneous actions so one without young children is preferable. Rocky’s adoption fee is $350. He is neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Come in, meet ROAR’s shy boy Rocky, a handsome and sweet boy that has so much love to give! He will reward you with unconditional love, every day, faithfully.
The ROAR Donofrio Family Animal Shelter is located at 45 South Street, with adoption hours Thursday through Monday. Go to www.roar-ridgefield.org to learn more about all the wonderful dogs and cats available at ROAR.
