Spring is here, and thanks to donors, the new semester is filled with fascinating programs and favorite events. If your spring cleaning unearths a treasure, get it evaluated at Antique Appraisal Day on April 9. Join May’s Health and Fitness Day to learn the latest health news. Don’t miss May’s annual meeting or June’s Battle of the Chefs, a fabulous fund-raising event that offers excitement, entertainment and gourmet eats. Other spring socials will celebrate carrots, books and Cinco de Mayo. We’ll also be introducing Founders Food Truck Fridays in May. Look for more details on all of these in future columns.

Although registration is past due, there are still openings in several classes. You can soar into the lives of the Wright Brothers, two bicycle shop owners who changed aviation history. Trace the history of chamber music in the morning music class, or revel in the works of wunderkind Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the evening class. Learn about and exchange views on foreign policy issues in our popular Great Decisions class, which will also discuss immediate international events. No registration is required for our seminar series, which will present topics ranging from architect Frank Lloyd Wright to Cass Gilbert’s landmark Ridgefield fountain, and online safety to Scrabble strategies.

Spring programs generally begin on Monday, March 26. Check online for more details.
