I very much support open government and meetings, sunshine laws and regulations, transparency, and freedom of information. And I have always found the Ridgefield public servants to be helpful, open, honest, and professionally responsive. The recently reported actions of self-proclaimed YouTube journalists has prompted me to speak up and out.
My request -- Stop abusing our Ridgefield public servants! Your actions have little to do with a legitimate exercise of your constitutional rights and everything to do with creating guerrilla journalistic click-bait for your personal benefit. Using one’s “rights” to abuse our public servants is abusive, bullying behavior and simply wrong!
