Terrance J. Knoche Jr., 72, Ridgefield native, plumber, golfer
Terrance J. Knoche, Jr., 72, of Danbury, formerly of Ridgefield, died on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at his residence.
He was the husband of Jean (Lockwood) Knoche.
Terry was born in New York, NY, April 27, 1940, a son of the late Terrance and Helen (Golden) Knoche. He attended Ridgefield schools.
A plumber by trade, Terry first was employed with the former Ridgefield Water Company where he was a pumping station operator. He later was a building maintenance person being employed at St. Mary Parish, Ridgefield and the Danbury Public School system.
Terry enjoyed gardening and was an avid golfer.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge #120 of Danbury, Vail's Grove Golf Club and St. Mary Parish of Ridgefield.
In addition to his wife of twenty-three years, Terry is survived by a son, David (Sharon) Knoche of No. Lauderdale, FL; a daughter, Deborah Knoche of Danbury; four brothers, Robert (Rose) Knoche of Castle Hayne, NC, John (Donna) Knoche, Philip (Susan) Knoche and Charles (Debra) Knoche all of Ridgefield; a sister, Mary Ellen Miller of Ridgefield; two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; grand nieces and grand nephews; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 10:15 am in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2 PM to 5 PM.
