Richard J. Cirulli, 75, school principal, Eucharistic minister
Richard J. "Dick" Cirulli, 75, of South Salem, NY, husband of Audrey (Steck) Cirulli died at his home on Friday, December 7, 2012.
Mr. Cirulli was born in Mt. Vernon, NY, April 20, 1937, a son of the late Albert and Frances (Mulready) Cirulli. He attended Westchester County schools and graduated from Fordham University. Upon graduation in 1959, Mr. Cirulli enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. and was honorably discharged in 1963.
For a short period of time after his military service, Mr. Cirulli was an insurance man and later joined the New York City Public School system. He later joined the Cedar Knolls School of Hawthorne, NY where he was principal of the Junior Unit for twenty-five years.
A jack of all trades, Mr. Cirulli most especially enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He was a resident of South Salem, NY for the past forty-three years.
He was a former president of the Three Lakes Council, a member of the St. Phillip prayer group of Norwalk, CT and was a member of St. Mary Parish, Ridgefield, and served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Mr. and Mrs. Cirulli were married on June 10, 1966.
In addition to his wife, Audrey, of forty-six years, he is survived by two daughters, Darlene Peckham and Lenore Cirulli; a sister, Mary Jane Nettune; a brother, Daniel Cirulli and two grandchildren, Jack and Alison.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10:15 AM in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield with the Msgr. Laurence Bronkiewicz officiating.
Inurnment will take place in the Pieta Columbarium of St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
There will be no calling hours.
