Richard Dan Natiello, a former Ridgefielder, died on March 14 in Hilton Head Island, S.C. with his family by his side. He was 80.

Born on April 23, 1935, in Floral Park, N.Y., he was a resident of Ridgefield and Paris, France before retiring to Hilton Head. He was a retired marketing executive with IBM and an avid boatman.

He was a graduate of Chatham (N.Y.) Central High School, was president of his class and captain of the varsity basketball team. He was an alumnus of Cornell where he was inducted into Delta Chi Fraternity. Upon returning from service in the U.S. Army, he obtained a degree in advertising from Arizona State University.

He was predeceased by his wife Grace Loomis Natiello and his parents Dante Natiello and Isabella H.T. Hunter Natiello.

He is survived by a sister, Linda Natiello Friedland, and her husband, Howard, of Morristown, Tenn.; daughters Brooke Nicklas and her husband, Mike, of Malvern, Penn., Whitney Madden and her husband, Blake, of Swannanoa, N.C., and grandchildren, Erika, Dylan, and Hailey.

A Memorial Service was held in a private family ceremony. Anderson Funeral Home in Beaufort, S.C. is in charge of arrangements.
