Obituary: Gloria E. (Perini) Biagiotti, 86, of Ridgefield
Gloria E. (Perini) Biagiotti, 86, of Ridgefield, passed away on August 24, 2018. She was the loving wife of Aldo P. Biagiotti Sr.
Mrs. Biagiotti was born in Ridgefield on July 21, 1932, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Elda (Latanzi) Perini. A graduate of Ridgefield High School and the nursing school of Lenox Hill Hospital, she enjoyed a distinguished career as a Registered Nurse, passionately working in the Ridgefield school system for over 20 years.
Mrs. Biagiotti was a volunteer at Keeler Tavern and a member of the Caudatowa Garden Club. She was also a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church. Some of her other hobbies included cooking, knitting, gardening, hooking, painting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Biagiotti is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Aldo Sr. as well as her children, Aldo Biagiotti Jr. and his wife, Kate; Paul Biagiotti and his wife, Polly; Ted Biagiotti and his wife, Marilyn and Lisa Lyman. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Nathaniel Biagiotti, Hadley Biagiotti, Jakob Lyman, Katie Biagiotti, Jillian Lyman, Olivia Biagiotti, and Grace Biagiotti, as well as a brother, Richard Perini and his family, her aunt Nora Hudimatch, a nephew and many nieces.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, nurse and loyal friend, and will be missed dearly by all. The family would like to extend their most sincerest appreciation to the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association and most especially to Hilary Stubbs for the exceptional care she provided.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 10:15 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Internment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ridgefield. Friends will be received on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or the US Humane Society.
