Barbara D’Amico of Estero, FL and Branford, CT, age 69, passed away on November 3, 2018 from a cerebral hemorrhage during her battle with Leukemia.

Barbara was the beloved daughter of John Shambo and Ruth Egan of Schenectady, NY, who both preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Vincent D’Amico Jr., her daughter and son-in-law, Erica and David Mauro, and her grandsons Will and Michael of Redding, CT. Barbara is also survived by Vincent’s children and their families, Kristine, Chris, Christian & Katie LaVigna of Ridgefield, CT; Dan, Marilyn, Victoria and Daniel D’Amico of South Salem, NY; and Vincent III, Carolyn and Bella D’Amico of Landenberg, PA who welcomed her into their family with love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Barbara was a graduate of Trinity College in Washington, DC and of NYU Law School where she served on the Law Review. During her distinguished career, she served as the General Counsel of Chase Financial Services for JP Morgan Chase & Co, was certified as a professional coach by The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, and was the founder of Esquire Crossroads, LLC. In retirement, Barbara took great pride in her volunteer work at their local soup kitchen.

Those who loved her will remember Barbara as a woman who lived life to the fullest! She was an avid cook who loved to entertain family and friends and did so with great flair. Her love of all types of games was passed on to her grandchildren and step-grandchildren who enjoyed many hours of fun playing with her. Her wishes were to forego formal services. Instead, she chose a Celebration of Life, which will be held in Branford, CT.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America, Schenectady City Mission, Autism Speaks or for the politically inclined, The Southern Poverty Law Center.
