There will be a memorial service for Betty Oswald Brew, a former Ridgefielder who died on March 21 in Denver, Colo., on May 29.

She was born in 1929 and was the widow of Eugene Brew. She attended Port Washington, N.Y., High School and Sullins College, Va. She lived in Ridgefield from 1964 to 1984 and volunteered with the Ridgefield Theatre Group for many years before moving to Denver to co-own The Tended Thicket Flower Shop.

She was a fashion buyer for B. Altman and worked in theatrical costuming, banking, real estate, travel, and genealogy. She is survived by a daughter, Lauri Brew of Virginia, a son, Larry Brew Jr., and a grandson, Miles Brew of North Carolina.

The graveside service on Dogwood Lane in Nassau Knolls Cemetery in Port Washington is at 12:30 p.m.
