Marion Belmonte, 90, mother of Ridgefielder
Marion P. Belmonte, age 90, of Trumbull and formerly of Greenwich, the beloved wife of the late William A. Belmonte for over sixty-four years, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at her home. Born to the late Pietro and Felicia Carparelli in Harrison, NY, Marion was the eighth child of ten children.
Marion was a homemaker, a consummate caregiver and family peacemaker. She and her husband helped care for their granddaughter, Alana who they cherished. She was extremely social and she nurtured and poured out her love to a large extended family which included her many cherished friends.
She was very active at Sacred Heart Church in Greenwich and worked with the elderly at St. Joseph’s Manor for many years.
Marion is survived by her loving family, Rocco and Mary Belmonte of Ridgefield; Emelia (Emmy) Sarica and Andreas Senie of Trumbull; her former son-in-law, Anthony “Buddy” Sarica of Bpt.; her four cherished grandchildren, Dorian Belmonte of MD, Rachel Oleson of CA, Isaac “Zac” and Gianna Sarica of Trumbull; her two brothers, Lou Carparelli of Harrison, NY and Angelo Carparelli of Chicago, IL and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her seven brothers and sisters and her precious granddaughter, Alana.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Theresa Church in Trumbull. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich. Friends may greet her family on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield Center.
