Lucille Chasteen, longtime former resident
Lucille ‘DeVee’ Chasteen, a former resident, died June 6 in Prescott, Ariz. at the age of 91. DeVee was born in Loveland, Colo. to Arthur and Emma Moon on March 5, 1925. Upon graduation from Loveland High School, she married Jack Chasteen, also of Loveland, and they were married 72 years.
The Chasteens moved to Florida Hill Road in 1960 and remained there until they retired in 1972, moving to Phoenix. While in Ridgefield, she was active in her children’s schools, the American Field Service Student Exchange program and the Jesse Lee Memorial Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Jack; children Nancy (Doug) Fritzler of Peoria, Ariz.; Ron (Paula Jo) Chasteen of Washington, Mo.; five grandchildren, Amy (Ken) Distel, Sara (Tim) McHale, Adam Fritzler, Dustin (Kim) Chasteen and Becky Dunn, and 14 great-grandchildren, Braden, Caleb, Gavin, and Levi Distel; Annika, Kellen, Delaney and Keegan McHale; McKenzie, Lynnzie, Jackson and Trent Chasteen, and Peyton and Ian Dunn.
She was buried in the family plot in Loveland, Colo. on June 24.
