Ida Buck of Ridgefield, wife of the late James Buck, died at her home on Saturday, Feb. 6. She was 93.

She was born in Rome, Italy, September 12, 1922, daughter of Gaetano and Theresa (Vuotto) Palazzesi. She attended schools in Italy and worked as a professional model on the Isle of Capri before immigrating to the United States in 1945, first settling in Norfolk, Vir..

She enjoyed Italian culture, cooking, sewing, music, travel and time shared with family and friends.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish of Ridgefield.

She is survived by two sons, Peter Abiouness and his wife Leigh of Norfolk, Vir., and Frank Buck and his wife Aurea of Sandy Hook; a daughter, Terri Lewallen and her husband Brian of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; nine grandchildren, and a great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Orlando and Alberto Palazzesi, who remained in Italy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 12, at 1:15 p.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 55 Catoonah St., Ridgefield.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ridgefield.

There will be no calling hours.
