E. Louise Coyle, the mother of former Ridgefielder Amy Coyle, died at her daughter’s Redding home on March 23. She was 88.

Born in Akron, Ohio on April 29, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Foster and Myrtle McGregor. She lived most of her life in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio moving to Redding in 2011. She was predeceased by her husband James Coyle, her sister Betty Jane Sherrill and her two sons, Gary Coyle and Larry Coyle.

She was a volunteer at Akron City Hospital/Summa Health System and served on the hospital’s women’s board and was a non-resident member at the time of her death. She was active with Good Neighbors, Inc. in Cuyahoga Falls and a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Since moving to Connecticut, she attended the Heritage Senior Center in Redding.

She is also survived by daughters Kim Gaug, and her husband Ron Gaug of Ohio, and Lynn Runion and her husband John Runion of Florida, and four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place on May 14 in Cuyahoga Falls.
