David R. Geisler, 68, of Southbury, who was a longtime Ridgefield educator, died on Saturday, April 19, at Waterbury Hospital.

Mr. Geisler was born in Lancaster, Pa., on Nov. 28, 1945, son of the late W. Robert and Dorothy (Manby) Geisler.

Mr. Geisler was a teacher at Ridgefield High School for nearly 30 years. He also owned and operated the Health Hut in Bethel for several years. He was an active member of Faith Church in New Milford and was a past leader of the Singles Ministry at First Assembly of God Church.

In addition to his wife of 26 years, Ann (Killiany) Geisler, he is survived by his brother, Thomas Geisler of North Conway, N.H.; his aunt, Lois Landis, and her husband, Thomas; his mother-in-law, Christine Killiany; his brother-in-law, Joseph Killiany; and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Church, New Milford, on Thursday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m. Burial will take place on Saturday in Lancaster, Pa.

The family will receive friends at Faith Church on Thursday evening between 5 and 6:15.
