Constantine F. Boas of Southbury, a former Ridgefielder and an Army veteran who spent many years in the banking industry, died on Tuesday, July 22.

Mr. Boas, who lived in Ridgefield from 1979 to 1988, was also a former resident of Salisbury and New York City.

He was born in Harrisburg, Pa,, and graduated from Harrisburg Academy and Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., class of 1951.

After serving two years in the U.S. Army, he worked in the family business and then joined First National City Bank of New York, now Citibank.  During a 32-year career with the bank, he was stationed in Valencia and Caracas, Venezuela and Kingston, Jamaica, as well as New York City.

Surviving him are his wife, Cynthia Colt of Southbury; daughter, Leslie DiPiero and husband, David of Glen Mills, Pa.;, his son, Craig Boas and wife, Laurie of Lutherville, Md.; and three grandchildren, Daniel, Benjamin and Vivienne. His brother Charles, and granddaughter Carly predeceased him.
