Charles Michael Eber of Northwood, N.H., who grew up here, died  Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, N.H. He was 58 years old.

Mr. Eber was born on Sept. 12, 1954 in Williston Park, N.Y., son of Joseph and Irene Hyer Eber. He grew up in Ridgefield and graduated from Ridgefield High School in 1972.

Over the years he had operated a Honda/Mazda dealership, owned a restaurant, and worked in sales.

He enjoyed the ocean, fishing, camping, and nature.

Mr. Eber is survived by his wife, Allison Kelley of Northwood; his sons, Mark Eber of Center Barnstead, N.H. and Wesley Chalifoux of Northwood; his daughters, Danielle Thielman of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., Amy Burdick of Penacook, N.H., Hannah Burdick and Jennifer Kantz of Boscawen, N.H.; two grandchildren; his former wife, Ellen Ellul; his siblings, Joseph Eber, Robert Eber, Irene Klein, Patricia Dyke, Ruth Schreiber, and Dorothy Jones.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 844 First NH Turnpike, Northwood.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to  Concord/Epsom Elks Lodge 1210, 24 Old Mill Rd; Epsom, NH 03234-4316.
