Carlus E. Dyer, longtime director and curator of exhibitions at the Aldrich Museum, died at his home in Yountville, Calif., on May 23. He was 99.

He was an artist, educator, and curator at, aside from the Aldrich, at the Museum of Modern Art and the Silvermine Guild of Artists.

A widower, Ruth Kobler Dyer and Charlotte Trowbridge predeceased him.

He is survived by his daughter, Carla Dyer Jaeger, and sisters Marjorie Mobley and Peggy Bulrice, all of California.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at noon.
